Paulson Adds Sheet-Fed Thermoforming to their World Class Library of Technical Training Courses

Thk sheet cutter cuCHESTER, CT (August 2016) — Paulson’s recent training course, Thick Sheet Thermoforming is now available anywhere, anytime and on any device including a version offered on DVD. This in-depth, five-lesson, training course covers all aspects of the Thick Sheet thermoforming process, including how to quickly solve problems and how to best develop advanced troubleshooting skills. Many of the conditions that cause part defects are explained. Personnel taking this course will become knowledgeable of the process, the characteristics of thermoformed parts and the most common causes of part defects.

Thermoformers with a need to hone or advance their skills can now look to Paulson to learn the fundamentals of thermoforming whether they specialize in “Thin or Thick.” For example, if you are a Thermoformer manufacturing clam-shell container packaging then Paulson’s Thin Sheet thermoforming course is ideal and for those thermoformers processing plastic for larger parts like automotive components, Paulson’s newest Thick Sheet thermoforming course will show you how.

The five lessons in Paulson’s Thick Sheet Thermoforming include:

  • Lesson 1 – Introduction: Plastics and the Thermoforming Process
  • Lesson 2 – Properties of the Extruded Sheet
  • Lesson 3 – Effective Heating of the Plastic Sheet
  • Lesson 4 – Temperature Control, Vacuum and Pressure Systems
  • Lesson 5 – Venting, Mold Cooling and Finished Part Properties

With the addition of Thick Sheet Thermoforming, Paulson now boasts the most comprehensive thermoforming training in the industry. Plus, Thick Sheet adds to Paulson’s growing library of CDs and online training programs that now totals more than 200 courses, covering extrusion, sheet extrusion, injection molding, extrusion blow molding, specialty training like GD & T (geometric dimensioning and tolerances) and a variety of health and safety titles. All of Paulson courses come with study guides and easy to install instructions as well as personalized installation by one of our tech support team members if requested.

Paulson will be attending SPE’s 2016 Thermoforming Conference in Schaumberg, Il, September 26-28, and will be sure to provide any demonstrations.

Paulson Training Programs, Inc., is the leading provider of technical training for the plastics industry. All of the Paulson programs are based on the Paulson Method, a logical step-by-step approach that teaches processing from the “plastics point of view,” a term coined by Donald C. Paulson well over 40 years ago; and builds processing knowledge as participants progress through the courses. Paulson training programs are currently in use by thousands of plastics processors and hundreds of colleges and universities worldwide. Paulson’s philosophy of investing in people, not just machinery, has become a proven model of success.
