Paulson Announces ProMolder™ 2 The Next Generation in Advanced Training for Injection Molders

CHESTER, CT —  Trusted industry training provider Paulson Training enhanced their ProMolder™ 2 injection molding seminar calling it the “next generation” in advanced molding skills training. This rigorous, hands-on, certification course features 6+ additional hours of machine time, the addition of a comprehensive math for molders module, and time with Paulson’s SimTech™, the industry leading injection molding simulator. Paulson’s ProMolder ™ 2 seminar is a week-long immersive learning experience taught in Paulson’s partner technical facilities around the country including: ARBURG, Polymer Center of Excellence, Extellent, Krauss Maffei, and Toshiba.

“ProMolder 2 is already a pretty solid seminar and now we’ve added even more technical content and math that helps attendees build the best possible optimized process around,” explained Todd Bryant, Lead Instructor and Technical Content Developer for Paulson Training Programs in Chester, CT.

“We really get into the science of injection molding focusing on the four basic variables as they interact with the machine controls, this course will take you to the next level in truly understanding molding from the scientific perspective,” added Bryant

Graduates of Paulson’s ProMolder 1 or those that successfully complete the equivalent Paulson CD/DVD or web-based training meet the requirement to enroll in Paulson’s newest seminar. The five-day course begins with a review of ProMolder™ 1 and covers key concepts including:

  • Analysis of part properties and the machine solutions using the four plastics variables
  • Practical hands-on application experience in machine settings
  • Detailed analysis of molded part defects, their causes and solutions
  • Comprehensive math module

Paulson’s ProMolder™ 2 is one of six technical training seminars being offered by Paulson’s Plastics Academy and is the second level in the injection molding ProMolder™ series, a series considered as the definitive in injection molding training.

Senior instructor, Todd Bryant, with his decades of injection molding and engineering experience carefully guides each attendee at the machine and incorporates real world molding scenarios into each class. Classes are intentionally small for personal attention and active learning.

“Attendees will come away from this seminar with an ability to build an optimized process. We spend a significant amount of time on the machine. Everyone taking this class will immediately be able to put their new skills to work,” said Bryant.

Paulson Training Programs, Inc., is the leading provider of technical training for the plastics industry and is currently in use by thousands of plastics processors and hundreds of colleges and universities worldwide.

All of the Paulson programs are based on the Paulson Method, a logical step-by-step approach that teaches processing “from the plastics point of view,” a term coined by Donald C. Paulson well over 40 years ago. This proven teaching method builds processing knowledge by focusing on the four variables that control the molding process: heat, flow, pressure and cooling.
